Woman's words are disregarded on a global scale. The United States has made a major effort to include the words and wisdom of women. However a majority of Eastern cultures disregard the words of women. Ophelia is disregarded because she is obsessed with love and isn't educated. Middle-Eastern cultures disregard women due to their education and their roles as inferior position to men.
