The first thing we have to do is change the mixed number into an improper fraction. To turn it into and improper fraction, multiply the denominator by the whole number then add the product to the numerator. So -3 x 3 = 9 + 1 = -10/3. So now we have -10/3 ÷ 4/9. Then we have to find the reciprocal if 4/9. To do this we just flip the fraction. So 4/9 becomes 9/4. So 10/3 x 9/4. 10/3 x 9/4 = -90/12. Since this is an improper fraction we have to change it to a mixed number. We do this by dividing the 90 ÷ 12. 90 ÷ 12 = -7 /2.

I hope this helps ^_^
