A geneticist found that a particular mutation has no effect on the protein codes by a gene. what do you think is the most likely type of mutation in this gene? The answer is silent mutation, but why?

because the mutation which does not have any effect on protein code I.e. even after the mutation if the gene still codes the same protein is called silent mutation
