Is it possible for a cation to be isoelectronic with anion from the same period? Explain

Nope, they're at various closures of the table. say Br and K
(anion) Br picks up an electron to wind up isoelectronic with Kr
(cation) K loses an electron to wind up like Ar
unless K picks up 7 e or Br loses 7 e, this is unthinkable.
