A yearbook printer charges based on the number of pages printed. Here is a table that shows the cost of some recent yearbooks.

Number of pages 50 100 150 200
Cost 1.75 2.55 3.35 4.15

Which equation gives the cost, y, in terms of the number of pages, x?

y = 0.016x + 0.95

y = 0.016x + 1.75

y = 0.016x + 48.25

y = 52.6x + 0.95

The cost per page can be calculated with

(2.55-1.75)/(100-50)=(0.80)/(50)=0.016

Since the cost is $0.80/50 pages, we subtract $0.80 to get the initial value:

1.75-0.80=0.95

So the equation is
y=0.016x+0.95
