Answer: Blood clotting is a process of clumping or coagulation that occurs in body when blood vessels ruptured.

Explanation: Process of blood clotting involves :-

1) It starts by injury in body by which blood vessels ruptured.

2) After that vessels contraction takes places to control blood loss of the body

3) Then blood platelets become activated. Blood platelets are cells of blood which are key component of blood clotting. These tiny cells surround the wound.

4) In response to the blood loss , a protein ( Fibrin ) released and then it polymerized , which together with platelets form a clot over the wound and clotting of blood takes place.

When a blood vessel is injured,
1. The walls of the blood vessel contract to limit the flow of flowing blood to the injured area.
2. Platelets stick to the injured site and spread along the blood vessel to stop further bleeding.
3.
chemical signals are released from inside the platelets that attract other cells to the area and make them clump together to form a platelet plug.
4. Then,
coagulation cascade occurs that acts like a mesh to stop the bleeding.
