The introduction of Christianity. The Japanese had bigger ships that European for a while. Their weaponry introduction INCREASED fighting. And you can't expand the feudal system when it was already total and complete.

The correct answer is C) the introduction of Christianity

One influence Europeans had on Japan was the introduction of Christianity.

In the 1500s, European powers started to explore many territories using their powerful sailing experience and great ships. The Portuguese were the first ones to arrive in Japan in 1542. The Portuguese arrived at the west coast of Kyushu and brought with them products to trade and of course, Christianity. Portuguese people started to evangelize the Japanese. Japanese people welcomed them because the Portuguese had impressive weapons that interested them and for some time accepted the evangelization of the Jesuit congregation.
