The answer is ionic compound. This is a chemical compound comprises of ions held together by electrostatic forces called ionic bonding. The compound is unbiased in general, but contains of positively charged ions termed cations and negatively charged ions termed anions. So in the problem, Ba (Barium) has a positive charge, and NO3 (Nitrate) has a negative charge.
