Is it possible for an object with a constant speed to accelerating?

To add on, acceleration is a vector which means it must contain direction and magnitude. So a ball could be traveling at a constant rate of 5m/s/s but then switch direction from, say West to East; this would mean that it does accelerate even though it does have constant speed.

Yes. A roulette ball circulating in a spinning wheel, a car going around a curved
road at 30 mph, and a planet in a circular orbit are all being accelerated.

"Acceleration" does NOT mean "speeding up". It means any change in the
speed or DIRECTION of motion.
