RNA has one strand while DNA has two. DNA has the nitrogen bases adenine, thymine, guanine and cytosine; RNA has the same nitrogen bases just uracil instead thymine. They both are nucleic acids. DNA is responsible for storing and transferring genetic information while RNA directly codes for amino acids and as acts as a messenger between DNA and ribosomes to make proteins. has a deoxyriboses backbone.
