Ancient Greeks lived under democracy. An example of this was the case of Athens. Athenians develop a good system of government they called democracy. All male Athenians had the same political rights, they had freedom of speech and they were allowed to participate in politics. They considered that people had the capacity to choose their governments and had good people operating the government. Greek people participated in expressing their points of view and served in the Greeks institutions.
