If a completing the square equation equals something that is not zero what do i do

o no a mod sent me a warning lol soz my bad i read the question to fast anywayzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz u gotta make it zero by bringing everything to one side and do ur completing the sq there.

Don't even complete the square until you have an equation that IS equal to zero.

If it starts out with a number on the other side, then subtract that number from
both sides first, before you complete the square.
