Let the width be x, it length is 2x - 4
Area = length x width
x(2x - 4) = 170
2x^2 - 4x - 170 = 0
x^2 - 2x - 85 = 0
x = 10.27
Therefore, the width ≈ 10.27 ft and the length is 2(10.27) - 4 ≈ 16.54
