Each of them would get 1 half of an orange. If you cut three oranges in half you will get 6 slices and there are 6 children.

Hope this helped!

Answer:

Jade and her friends got a half orange each.

Explanation:

Jade and five friends had 3 oranges, and they shared the oranges equally. So, in order to determine how much of an orange did Jade and her friends get, we have to do the following calculation:

There are 6 people (Jade and her 5 friends), but there are 3 oranges. So, each one of them is getting 3/6 of an orange, dividing it equally. Therefore, as 3 / 6 = 0.5, each one of them got a half orange.
