Solve the equation for the specified variable. P=Fd/t for t.

should be:
Fd/p=t

start with P=Fd/t

The main objective is to rewrite the formula so that one side of the equal sign just has the variable t.

To move variables around you must do the opposite action to both sides (since t is being divided on its starting side, you must multiply it to get it to the other side)

to do this you must first multiply both sides of the equation by t...to get:
P*t=Fd

lastly to get t by itself you must divide p to both sides of the equal sign to end up with:
t=Fd/P
