How did Booker T. Washington feel about imperialism?

He was completely against it. He disapproved of the act America took of taking Hawaii and some Asian Pacific islands. Even though he was against it he did agree with Teddy Roosevelt that imperialism would strengthen the military, especially the Navy, he was more into peace and thought other countries/nations should be left on their own.
