The cell theory states that all the organisms are actually made of a single or multiple cells. It also states that that all the life functions of an organism occurs within the cell. The theory also states that all the cells are created from already existing cells.
The three scientists mainly responsible for developing the cell theory are Theodre Schwann, Matthias Schlieden and Rudolph Virchow.
