Also, if a digit is less than 5, then we just remove that digit and nothing else.

We need to round off 7.48 to the nearest tenth such that only one digit remains after the decimal point .

Here, the digit at hundreds place is 8 which is greater than 5, so we will round off digit before 8 i.e digit 4 to 5

So, 7.48 is rounded off to 7.5
