basically, a physical property is anything that can be observed without putting a substance through a chemical change. Among many others, a few physical properties of a spoonful of sugar include that it is white, has a grainy texture, and the grains are small in size. If you could calculate the density or boiling point of this spoonful of sugar, those would apply, as well. :)
