A perpendicular bisector is segment that will pass in another segment at its midpoint. Let as assume that the midpoint between MN is X and the perpendicular bisector will pass at point X. Segments MX and XN are congruent, so the distance of NP should also be equal to MP. So MP is equal to 9.
