After giving Jonas the memory of war, the giver gave him some happy memories. He talked of the bond between Humans and Animals, about a family sharing presents on Christmas Day, that old people are grandparents and not always threw away in the House of old, and I guess he talked about a memory of sailing, and riding a horse. All this made Jonas really happy.
