if you know that 7×8=56 how can you use the commutative (order) property of multiplication to find the product of 8×7

Commutative property is basically just flipping the numbers around.

Since you know what 7x8 equals

Flip the numbers around in 7x8

Which becomes 7x8

And both equal 56

When you're adding or multiplying, it really doesn't matter how the numbers are ordered :)

commutative prop states that 7*8 = 8*7, so the property means that 8*7 = 56, just like 7*8
