Explain why many people in the U.S. Government and public felt that by becoming a World Power, it could help our economy grow and thus meet the needs of our desire to expand our territory? Make sure you include the 2 examples in your answer

Because if we had world power we would be the most powerful country which would mean that people from other countries would come in and take avalible jobs to provide the us with more workers and more workers means more products to sell. Another reason we may want world power is because if we expand our territory we could become an independent democracy or government.
