If I wanted to say, "I read books" in French how would I say that? Could I say, "Je lis des livres"? Élire is conjugated to 'je' and I attached an 's' at the end of 'livre' because 'books' is plural, but I'm a little unsure if I used 'des' correctly. To follow that up I want to say, "I want to be a French teacher." Could I say, "Je vuex devenir professeur de français"? Again conjugation, but a little unsure about 'de' placement. I would appreciate any advice you may have. Merci !
