The correct answer is option A) "It put a military government in place.". The Massachusetts Government Act signed on May 20, 1774 had different purposes for this colonial state. By that time Massachusetts was a colony of England and the king believed that a military government was necessary to keep the "bullies" in place, since Massachusetts had its own democratic elections and other liberties. The Act put and end to these liberties and put a military government in place.
