40% is taken off from the original price.

Original price = $25

40% of 25 = 40% * 25

= 40 / 100 * 25 = 0.4 * 25 = 10

So 40% which is $10 would be taken off from the original price.

Sale Price = $25 - $10 = $15

Sale Price = $15

15$, I just multiplied 25 by .4 the product is 10 then just subtract that
