What parts of the antler structure must you be able to identify and measure to lawfully take a deer?

Antlers are found on all members of the deer family in North America including deer, elk, caribou, and moose. A legally antlered deer must have at least one antler that is three inches or longer measured from the base of the burr. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.
