Read the excerpt from Theodore Dreiser’s “My Brother Paul.” What narrative point of view does Dreiser use in this excerpt from the story?

"I had not seen my brother in three or four days, but after I had strolled a block or two up Broadway I encountered him. I have always thought that he had kept an eye on me and had really followed me; was looking, in short, to see what I would do As usual he was most smartly and comfortably dressed."

Narrative Point of View by Dreiser - Option 3

According to the Theodore Dreiser’s “My Brother Paul”, Dreiser uses first person narrative in this excerpt from the story. It is understood that by reading the excerpt we come to know that “I” is using in this above passage which indicates that the Dreiser uses first person in the above excerpt. If he uses the “he/she” then it will be third person and if he uses “you” then it will be second person but in this excerpt he uses first person.
