The answer to this question would be: a. from the duplicated chromosomes in the nucleus of the parent cell

All of the genetic material of the cell will be stored inside the nucleus of the cells. In cell division, the genetic material will be duplicated resulting in 2 set of genetic material. These genetic materials will be inherited by the daughter cell.
