How is DNA used to solve crimes?

DNA can narrow down a Investigation to the person who was last there, Makes it easier in a way to narrow down the search for who they are looking for, cannot come to a conclusion on who that person may be because it could have been from someone the day before, or it could have been from someone else that was there for house keeping or a friend etc.

DNA is generally used to solve crimes in one of two ways. In cases where a suspect is identified, a sample of that person's DNA can be compared to evidence from thecrime scene. The results of this comparison may help establish whether the suspect committed the crime
