16 out of 28 own pets; 240 out of 560 students own pets. are they Equivalent? Explain.

28/16=1.75 560/240=2.33 1.75 doesnt equal 2.33, which means that it is not equivalent. Hope that helps! :)

So, the ratio would be
(16)/(28)=(4)/(7)

So, the ratio would be

Hence, they are not equivalent.
