try to see how many of the deomenator goes in the numerator

9*1=9
9*2=18
9*3=27
9*4=36
9*5=45
45 is too high
36 is just below

use 36
37-36=1

so

`(38)/(9)`=

`( (36)/(9) )+( (1)/(9) )`=

`4+ (1)/(9)`=
4 and 1/9
