What was the main factor that led to the shays rebellion

Increased taxes and lack of accountability from the federal government. The government at the time was ruled under the Articles of Confederation, which gave little power to the federal government and most to state governments.

This led to high taxes and property confiscations amongst local farmers. Daniel Shays led this rebellion to protest this.
