he Is not correct because they are all equivalent to each other if u simplify it .5=.5=.5 five is in the same spot every time

He is not correct because the "0" has NO VALUE 0.500, 0.50, 0.5 have the same value. It could be 0.500000000 but that is still the same as 0.5 never count the zeros as place values if their on the outside of the number but DONT ignore it if it is inside like 0.05
