A) Christians denied the existence of pagan Roman gods and worshiped only one God.

B) The Christians refused to follow Diocletian's orders that all soldiers and administrators sacrifice to Rome's traditional gods.

I think the answer is letter A and B.

Although Romans have no real basis why they have killed many Christian but many Christians died during the rise of the Roman Empire, especially if they are found doing Christian rituals. Decius had issued a decree that allowed soldiers to kill civilians caught. Because of this Christians would hide to avoid assault and death.
