If so then 2 is an element of set V. By writing it as 2eV it means 2 electron volts.

Answer:

The mathematical expression 2 ∈ V means that:

2 is an element of set V.

Explanation:

We know that for any set A with elements as:

A={a,b,c,d}

We see that that the element a,b,c and d all belongs to the set A and is represented by the symbol:

a ∈ A, b ∈ A , c ∈ A and d ∈ A

i.e. they represent that the element is contained in that set.

Here we 2 ∈ V

This means for a set V of elements.

The element 2 belongs to the set.

i.e. it is a member of the set.
