1. Some portion of the primary waves become secondary depending on the angle of incidence.
2. S-waves move faster and spread out when it travels through liquids.
3. Primary waves are longitudinal waves.
4. Secondary waves are transverse waves.
5. Monitoring the arrival of both primary and secondary waves will determine the liquid component of the core.
