If it is something like .25 for example, take that number, put it over 100 as a fraction and simplify.

example :
0.12.....what is the place value of the last digit (2) ? The 2 is in the hundredths place....so 0.12 would be 12/100 which reduces to 3/25

0.3.....the last digit (3) is in the tenths place.....so 0.3 = 3/10

0.136...the last digit (6) is in the thousandths place....so 0.136 = 136/1000 which reduces but I am too lazy to figure out what it reduces to...lol.

so basically, the place value of the last digit is what u put ur number over
