How will fragmentation affect the mass spectrum of hydrogen chloride?

Fragmentation is a process which means to break apart into smaller pieces. If you break them apart, the result may be different peaks at different values, since mass total of HCl > mass of H+ and Cl−  alone. This can be carried out through mass spectroscopy
