try moving the decimal one space to the right on all of them, then if you need to solve for x, do that, then move the decimal space back over one to the left on your final answer. I haven't done math in a while, just my two cents worth. :)

Answer:

The solution is x=4.

Explanation:

Given : Equation
0.6x+4.8=7.2

To find : How can you use the multiplication property of equality to rewrite the equation so that the numbers in the problem are integers and not decimals?

Solution :

Equation
0.6x+4.8=7.2

By removing decimal,

(6)/(10)x+(48)/(10)=(72)/(10)

Multiply both side by 10,

10* (6)/(10)x+10*(48)/(10)=10*(72)/(10)

6x+48=72

Subtract 48 both side,

6x+48-48=72-48

6x=24

Divide both side by 6,

(6x)/(6)=(24)/(6)

x=4

Therefore, The solution is x=4.
