What you can infer about Macbeth's character from his hesitation to murder the king is A. Macbeth has both good and bad qualities, but ambition and his wife's arguments are influencing him.
If it weren't for his wife, he probably wouldn't have killed the king and he would have continued living happily. However, her ambition and lack of morals made him corrupt as well.
