The characteristics of trade in ancient Egypt are:

C. Egyptians imported lumber because there were few trees in Egypt.

D. Traders came and went using the Red Sea, the Nile River, and desert caravans.

The lack of trees in Egypt is caused by it's hot and dry climate with lack of soil that contains important nutrients for plants to live.

Traders that come into Egypt had to go through natural barriers (sea and desert), which is why all of those vehicles are needed. Egypt developed a trade relationship with other Asian, European, and African civilizations but their major business partners located around the middle east region.
