Please help I don't understand

3x + 2y = 5 :Subtract the 3x over to the other side

2y = -3x + 5 :Then, divide the whole equation by 2

y = -3/2x + 5/2

3x+2y=5\\ 2y=-3x+5\\ y=-(3)/(2)x+(5)/(2)
