How did glaciers change the land of the northeast region?

As glaciers slowly moved down mountains and hills, their immense weight "scraped" the landscape over time, and created valleys and deposits of minerals. The Northeast region is just one example.

Glaciers changed the land by wearing down mountains with deep grooves making hills/mountains considering the Appalachian mountains.
