you have to multiply 3 into both 3y-15=0.

9y-45=0

9(5)-45=0

9*5=45

the answer is A

3(3y-15)=0, you would distribute the 3, so the equation would become 9y-45=0. then add the 45, so it'd be 9y=45, and divide the 9 by both sides. your answer would be A or 5
