Ly Bi and Trieu Quang Phuc led revolts against the Liang dynasty.

The Liang dynasty constituted the third of the Southern Dynasties during China's Southern and Northern Dynasties period.

It was located in East China and South China, and the Chen dynasty replaced the Liang Dinasty in 557. The small rump state Western Liang (555–587), located in Central China, existed until its annexation in 587.

Triệu Quang Phục was the second/third king of Vietnam during the Early Lý Dynasty in the 6th century, where he reigned the kingdom along with Lý Thiên Bảo.
