Conduction is basically when hear is being transferred to another person/thing through the collision of particles nearby.
One example is when you snuggle with another person or thing such as an animal to keep warm. Heat is being transfer from that other person/thing body to yours.
Another example is when you hold a cold object for long such as a ice cube or a penny that was sitting on the counter for a while. The heat from your hands is conducted to the two objects and will melt the ice or if holding a penny, cause the penny to become warm.
