The statement that when you know someone and like that person, he or she is considered a peer is false. The term peer denotes someone at your own level or person of the same age, who belongs to the same social or professional group. Example: students in your class are your peers. However, it doesn't mean that you have to like your peers, you can either like them or not. That is not the definition of the peer.
