A theme in a literary works is a central topic a text text treats. It can be divided into two categories: a work's thematic concept in what readers "think the work is about" and the its thematic statement being "what the work says about the subject". I hope this will help you

A theme is the underlying idea in a work of fiction. An example of a theme would be good wins over evil or why greed is bad or similar. It is the basic concept being presented and analyzed in any written work.
