Echolocation is a superior adaptation of an animal that can detect another animals the form of echoes generated. This is applicable for insectivorous bats because they are in constant motion. Fruit bats are stationary and use different adaptations to locate their food.

Echolocation is a superior adaptation for insectivorous bats rather than fruit bats because insectivorous bats use echolocation as to detect and spot insects within their vicinity.
